Billy Graham Has Got It…Almost Completely Right

Oct 22, 12 • News1 Comment

Though it would seem that there is no chance that he actually put pen to paper to write this ad, the Rev. Billy Graham has offered Christians some great advice:

Vote ‘biblical principles’ in this election.

Absolutely.

Let’s name these biblical principles:

1. Love the Lord your God with all of your heart.

2. Love your neighbor as yourself.

3. Neighbors are anybody from your family members to everybody else–excluding your worst enemies.

4. Also, love your worst enemies.

5. Be endlessly forgiving.

6. Be merciful.

7. Rather than reeking havoc, go the extra mile in service.

8. Before pointing fingers, make sure that you don’t have a log of lies sticking out of your face.

9. Care for the poor and downtrodden–if not for loving one’s neighbor, then because you’re doing it to Jesus.

10. Do everything without complaining or arguing.

Funny that these biblical principles find no specific mention in this ad–but he’s Billy Graham, a man worthy of our respect and admiration, so it was surely just an oversight.
